About Us:
Nick Harborne and Paul Roberts met in 1998 whist
working in the Balkans and both have extensive
experience of working overseas in aid and
development programmes. Nick more recently spent
6 years as Director of Reading Single Homeless
Project. Paul still escapes the British winter
periodically, working for Save the Children on short
contracts.

Having both owned and lived onboard their boats for
a number of years Nick and Paul started Canal & Tipi
Experience in 2007. Their experience as boat
owners underpins the belief that a holiday on the
waterways should be an experience, a memory that
you will take away and reflect on for time to come.
Likewise, staying in a Tipi is not really camping, it's
an alternative way of life. A unique experience.
